Extreme oven cleaning
« on: September 04, 2013, 08:35:41 pm »
Done a few bad ovens over the last few years but I've got one to do with a really bad hob

The oven itself is not nearly as bad and I would use something caustic on it if it was but obviously cannot do so on a stainless steel hob, not that you can see that it is stainless steel :-\
Anyone had something as bad or nearly as bad and what did you use on it?
It's part of a much bigger job so I can't walk on it which is what I might have done if it was just an oven clean.
Thanks Paul

Looks bad that one!!!!!

Have had a few close to that but think you've won the competition for worst hob.  :o

Should clean up fine, will just need your normal clean with a stronger mix of chemical done a few times, what chemicals do you use?

Don't forget to post a pic post completion.

Got a selection of caustic, degreasers and general cleansers but finding a biological liquid mix working best at the moment.
Just wary of damaging/scratching it up, but even if it does I suppose it would be better than it is now.

And not the kind of person you might think either looking at the picture.
Its a young foreign student living in a 3 bedroom house on his own, and pays well for the privilege according to the letting agent. Seeing as some other parts of the house are bad as well and the tenant is footing the bill he can pay me well too ;D
