new 3x3 stage vac machine
« on: March 04, 2006, 06:04:16 pm »
this afternoon i went down to vernon purcels place out at crawley where i had a demo on the new rhino which has three vacs and a choice of 200 and 500psi the inline heaters are hidden away a bit like the ninja. whist there he did a water lift test on my prochem 2000 powermax and i was shocked to discover the real water lift was only 160 [ book says 220]where as his machine was 265 so quite a difference i understand he will be having an open day in may, if any of you want to go take a peek

are you sure about the spec' for the Rhino, as the only spec' I'm aware of , is 135 psi and twin vacs, for a very good price.

I f it comes with the spec you're quoting, it would be an amazing little machine

in answer to some of the questions he tested the water lift with a clever device that i had never seen before specially designed for the job, and used in the industry apparently. it was a meter reader with i can only describe as imagine a rubber ball cut in half stuck on the end this was put over the hose end and the lift was recorded.it seems too that the big companies cheat a little when testing the water lift as the higher they go the better the vacuum and the better the water lift !!!?? so if the test is done well above sea level then a better result.  he also had another meter for testing the true psi and on the prochem even though it had a 135 just fitted it read in at 100 at the base so at the end  of the wand it must be less. yes it is the rhino  i think he has 3 or 4 different specs starting from the 135 going up to the 500psi and from 2x 3 stage to 3x 3stage.  forget to ask him if they was mounted in parralel or series. but as i asked him if it mattered which motor i out on first and he said it made no difference then i assume they are parralel. what i suggest is that if you want more information is to contact vernon direct and i am sure he will put you wise. in fact if he is reads this message it would be a good idea if allowed to put people in the picture. i was quoted £1700 for the 3x3stage vacs with the heater and 200 psi. im not deciding until i have attended carpex.

Carpetclean,

I am not selling/promoting those machines.  I posted here what I have found.

As you could see from the web Rhino 500psi comes with dual two-stage vacuum motors.  It might be older version or misprint.  I cannot say more.

Kind regards,
Arthur

I'd be surprised if they could fit an inline heater, 3x3 stage vacs and a big 500psi pump into a Rhino shell, there is'nt enough room.
