Driveway Sludge
« on: August 30, 2013, 07:47:07 pm »
Hello

Do you all just sweep up the sludge/washed out sand at the end of the cleaning into a builders bag or bucket before rinsing down the job or is there a vacuum that you use.

Currently I just sweep it up into builders bags, get them home and collect them in the drive until I have enough to justify a skip to get rid of the waste! It's a time consuming job sweeping all the sludge up and was hoping here is something out there which could reduce the time and effort required to do it the way I an at the moment!

Thanks again guys in advance of any guidance or links to products that have been tried and satisfactory tested!!

If the drives flat I wash all the crud onto the path then sweep it up from there and rinse off the path.

If its slanted, i'll cover the drain and collect the crud from there.

Cheers Jettaway that's exactly as I have been doing but was hoping there was a better or easier way to do it!! Guess its just the downside of the job and sometimes there is no easy way!

Thanks Gavin

Always use hessian type sacks that allow the water to drain but keep the crud.
