Hi all,
I am reasonably new to the power washing game and was wandering if there is any call for sign cleaning,shop frontage etc was wandering on price, regularity and wether you would need contracts?

I know this is a pretty broad question but all info would be grately appreciated,

I am not in the Pressure Washing business but I can't imagine there would be much call for it.

Not the actual cleaning, I hasten to add, but the method.

Many, many shops have their signage cleaned but by traditional methods. Would a shop owner care to have their shop front 'blasted' and would they be concerned about any damage?

What about County Councils having their road signs cleaned? Supermarkets having their trolley wheels cleaned. I used to see all of these years ago but don't anymore.

I guess shop front could be done by window cleaners, who use WFP these days,

 hello steven

 one avenue that might be worth considering is chewing gun removal around  schools and the out side of shopping centers but you do need a hot pressure washer
now is the time to start looking at schools for the summer break

We have a contract with a company that re-fit banks
and sometimes we have to jet wash the front of the building
and clean signs they are mainly in the midlands.

I have got one to do at the end of the month
which we will sub out i am going to the site today
to take some photos.

you could check out shop fronts that our close to pubs and clubs.  they would need cleaned on a regular bases with people not being able to hold it in after a few beers...

 is probably more a window cleaners add on on reflection but did think of a monday am clean in the town centre doorways which seem rather busy at 2am if you  know what i mean, must smell by monday and you wouldent want to tread that in i wouldent of thought!

Got to keep lucking for opportunities to get wet

would be interested to know how you get on stevemc as regards the re-fit, what they request and how you would price it up etc, it all helps the learning curve!

I don't think I've ever heard any of you PW guys talking about 'bin areas' yet.

You can go up any town centre street and see loads of restaurants in a row. Go round the back and look at their bin compounds - they're minging!

What a wonderful opportunity to do a whole street load of them. Sell it on 'Environmental Health' grounds. All that waste food lying around!

how would you word the letter? and how would you price it.

I haven't got a letter for that as I'm not in that business but it shouldn't be too hard to knock one together. If it was me, I'd be looking for a weekly contract for this type of work. Just think of the type of business that  needs this. A lot of other buildings produce food waste in their bin areas.

Supermarket bin areas.

They're usually a walled compound containing wheelie bins of some sort. I know there are 'bin cleaners' on here but how much attention is given to the actual bin storage area?
