Which squeegee?
« on: August 17, 2013, 08:37:59 am »
Hello,

I've decided to treat myself to a new squeegee, I'm currently using a ninja with various sized channels.

I've been doing a lot of trad work recently and understand now when people have said that the ninja is a bit too bulky.

What make of squeegee do other people use?

Cheers.

I find a 12" Wagtail is great on domestic properties.
If I did a lot of shop/commercial work with large panes of glass I would use an 18" Wagtail.

The normal 14 " ergo tech one from Unger, tried the ninja but over rated and over weight.

1 green plastic standard unger with a 12" channel, 1 stainless steel unger with a 6", and 1 unger angled swivel with 18" ( use an extendable B&Q £10 decorator pole with this for shop work, the handle locks on to it perfectly) all used with pulex soft rubber and stainless steel channels.

Small but perfectley formed

If you do lots of shop and large commercial panes I would try the wagtail these are very light and put less strain on the wrist , otherwise get the lightest available

99p special from the local hardware shop. Very light as its made from thin low grade plastic but the rubber is very hard wearing

An ideal item for tradders without breaking the bank

unger ergotech both the standard one and the swivelock squeegees.they are fantastic and very hard wearing.ive had mine for years.very light.perfect for trad work.

the ninja looks too gimmicky.unger standard gear is the best IMO.
price higher/work harder!

wagtail blue ribbon  12 or 14 inch
