unger N-lite sill brush
« on: August 06, 2013, 06:28:04 pm »
I went into to a cleaning supplier today in my local town and they are a distributor for a few window cleaning brands and they had this brush so I bought it.

One of my staff will give it a try over the next week or so.

Its twice the size of our Gardiner sill brushes and doesnt feel a lot heavier, about 100g. It seems very robust and has a few features I like.

You can twist and remove the jets with your fingers and put them in different hole locations on the brush, the socket can be removed and turned up the other way making the brush seem a different shape.

Its dual trim and has a great splay and seems to have stiffer bristles on the inside.

Does anyone else use this brush? what do you think of it?
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

The Unger N-Lite brushes are superb our guys all use them plus we sell lots of them in our shop.

Just pretend they say Gardiners on them  :)

for me weight is everything so i wont be trying one.extremes and radius sill brushes on my extreme poles.i do use MK 3 XL aqua-daptors on my 22 and 25 ft poles though so my brushes have to weigh next to nothing! ;D ;D ;D

the new extreme brushes coupled with gardiners carbon goosenecks are fantastic and so so light!good splay and feel much more chunky than previous extreme brushes with good scrubbing action.

It's Unger & it's WFP related, the two don't mix!

I've only ever heard people who benefit from Unger via sales or sponsorship/advertising say anything good about any of their wfp products, never anyone else!! ;D ;D

I use them, they are a bit heavier than gardiners brushes, but last a lot longer.

They clean well, and with the longer bristles on the outside get into the corners easily. Also work well on conservatory roofs and fascias.

If people find then too heavy to work with all day, they need a trip to the gym to man up! ;D

i can see them being great for conny roofs but anyone who says you need to "man up" and use them all day/every day for regular work is seriously deluded. ;D ;D

im 6ft 2in with big arms.over 3 years WFP and working with mega light poles and brushes is just easier.if like me your work comes in all shapes and sizes with lots of higher/awkward windows its common sense to keep strain to a minimum.

its very easy to give yourself a shoulder injury however fit/strong you are when your poling all day most days of the week due to the nature of the work we do.

no need to make our work harder than it needs to be.408g will feel like a brick on the end of an extreme pole esp with an aqua-daptor! ;D ;D ;D

the head stock on this brush looks a lot larger than the gardiners brush.  this means you are more likely to get scratches on sills etc from staff usage, and more likely to hit things and break them too.  that puts me off  :(

I'm not deluded, I use a pole all day every day and have done for 10 years, it works fine on the end of my CLX22, I then come home and have enough energy to go running or cycling.

I do have some Gardiner brushes, yes they are light, but they just do not last long enough to justify using as an everyday brush.
