Good tips in that video. I have seen it before as i'm a subscriber of the truckmount youtube channle.

Not that helpful for the OP though as he only has 25ft and using a porty i.e. not running from a reel.

I run mine out straight (where posible) then starting in the middle coil up one side, then flip the whole lot over and coil the other side up, then secure with a piece of rope, hope that makes sense

Crickey, we use 1,000 feet on lines on ships and rap them up in a blink.

I purchased some velcro straps from B&Q for my 2" 50' hoses, they work a treat.
25' of 1.5 hose should coil up without any dramas and the velcro should keep it neat and tidy

I found a good solution for me:

A large plastic mixing trug (bucket) from Wickes.  I coil the hose down into it, it easily fits.  The hose nicely stacks on top of it's own coils.  I have space left in the middle for (stacked) buckets. I put the rest of my damp/wet gear in the buckets. 

There's no drips on the customers floor, or my van.  And, it's all easily transported between van and house.

Yep - I now know the secret: stop being a perfectionist by trying to coil it up neatly.
Just stuff the **** thing in the crate.
Easy!

Thanks Phil.  It's been a very interesting (and enjoyable) year working in this industry. 
I wish I'd started 10 years ago - and saved myself 12 years pain in I.T.!  But you live and learn.
