Help??
« on: July 29, 2013, 02:34:18 pm »
How do I know if it is Filters or Pressure that is causing high Tds reading????

Filters and Membranes only 4/5 months old.

Tap Tds = 280

After Ro Tds = 078

Resin Tds = 002 (1ltr) Used to last a week before I changed my filters n membranes now only 8hrs before its at 010

what do you think is wrong???

How much waste water is coming out of the waste pipe?
A lot of RO's work on a ratio of approximately 2 ltrs of waste water to 1 ltr of pure water.

The only time my tds after RO increased like that was when they needed replacing; but this was about two years after I got them.

Have you be maintaining your membranes by flushing them?

Your filters probably could do with a change too.

I reckon you're going to end up having to buy new filters and membranes, but someone more knowledgeable will hopefully help you out.

Test your pressure with this if you are unsure:

You can tell if you've got good pressure, loads of water will come rushing out when you turn the tap on.  ;D

The Waste water blasts out. Yeah i reckon it about that ratio. Does that mean I have good pressure?

Emm... Well I probs have not been flushing them as much as I should have been? Every 2/3 weeks for 5mins. How often do you do it?
