Alltec Open day
« on: July 28, 2013, 02:01:03 pm »
There was an excellent turnout at Alltec Open day Yesterday although I was too frazzled to appreciate all the Demos etc. There are some very successful Carpet Cleaners who are obviously making a success of Niches such as Leather Restoration, Hard floors or even Rug Cleaning. Like everything you really do need to invest to do it well . What does appear to be lacking is an indication of the size of the markets and how you actually break into them.

I would say in Leather renovation there is a very Big Market  with Cars and Classic Cars but is the Car Trade well served already?

Same applies to Rugs finding the homes with Rugs that people will pay whatever the figure is per square foot , for a Clean to justify drying rooms , Rug Badgers and Spinners etc

But all very interesting. Back to the Blinds ;D

It was the carpet repair demo by John Thompson that stood out for me, and my young son!  and it's good to have an event like this that's fairly local to me  ;D

As i said I was frazzled by the time I got there , although I noticed it I think John had finished by the time I was thinking straight.  But I have seen it before and it is excellent

Hi Ian
The leather restoration market is very big but the car market is not very well covered at present.  There are a few new companies dabbling at doing training but who do not have the experience or knowledge of products so people are not taking it very seriously.  We are training a lot of the high end detailers who deal with the very expensive cars but the day to day stuff is still untapped and is certainly another add on.

There are also some brilliant product developments which now fill a big gap in the market.  Leather Recolour which I was demonstrating yesterday is an innovative new product that is really simple to use.  It is a wipe on colour that also enhances the top coating - it is ultra flexible so cannot crack and cannot peel and adds a whole we dimension to the cleaning industry.  Sold as a restorative product it is not as costly to restore a suite and is an ideal market for you and your customer.  It improves the durability of the leather and brings furniture back to life.  It would only take a short time to do and for your customers who do not want to go down the full restoration route it is ideal - prolongs the life of the suite and improves durability and colour.
It is also ideal for car interiors particularly on bolster areas.

With everyone concerned about costs but also adding valuable services to their business this would be a good solution. Not high in product cost and taking a short time to do you can add a valuable service to your leather cleaning business.

Hope this helps and hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as I did.  Thanks to everyone at Alltec for their hard work.

Alltec are now official distributors of our leather cleaning products.

Cheers

Hi  Judy I like Wheeler Dealers where they take Classic Cars and put new life into them. Being High End Cars they usually have leather seats . I remember there was or is a Franchise called Colour annalists who specialized in this market

But i must say I thought your product did look excellent
