just started, advice?
« on: July 10, 2013, 09:13:37 pm »
Hello everyone  :) im new on here, and newly self employed as a window cleaner. I have been working for a company for 2 years, and recently i brought an 8th of the company (works out to £600 monthly) :) the trouble is, as much as i like being self employed i could do with some more work! Iv canvassed for the company which didn't go very well and has put me off doing it now for myself
any good tips or advice on what to say etc? Thank you,

Good for you m8. As for canvassing, just be friendly and considerate in your attitude, dress tidily without being too formal, polite and generally happy in your demeanour and you'll be fine. You inquire wether they want a window cleaner, I do the frames as well as the glass, would you like a quote?
Answer = Yay or nay, thank you and good night.
The more you canvas the more customers you will find. Good hunting.
