pressure loss on gx390
« on: May 08, 2013, 05:52:54 am »

I have niggling problem with my pressure washer a techclean hondagx390.

I can be working away with  good pressure when after  perhaps a cpl of hours working the pressure drops right down for no apperent reason, this happened last week, i replaced o rings in all connections, i checked uploader valve , and all seemed fine again. Yesterday I was working away same thing happened  >:(  so i took it down to the local repair centre , upon starting it to check their was plenty of pressure  ::)roll   .
He checked the pump valves said fine, checked the oil and said a sign of a little water in the oil, the pump seals could need replacing............ so he has ordered a seal kit and will be fitting.
My question is. Would a slight leakage onside pump result in loss of pressure ? and if so why does it work fine for so long then deteriate?
Geoff.
ps hope this cures the problem becuase i beggining to get a little peed off now.

It sounds like a blocked filter to me
