John

What I was trying to say is for a microsplitter to work I find it needs good agitation yes it also makes detergents work better but I don't think they need the same amount you don't seem to like or rate this type of cleaner but a lot of others do that's why manufacturers make it new starts need to try different products to find what works best for them some will prefer colloids others microsplitters and others detergents but most will carry all three plus stain removers. deodorisers and sanitizers from different brands to give then the best arsenal to get the job done.

ps I always use heat but would not knock others who say they don't need it they may use more spotters but that's up to them

Which john ? ... this john ?   ;D

Fine if microsplitter works for its users even if they compensate with extra agitation and spotting  , but when they suggest it performs more efficiently with cold water than other products , i would need a scientific explanation for that and i'v never seen a convincing one .

I have little doubt the whole coldwater cleaning thing came from that North Korea of  CC  misinformation  ... CT   .

You can clean very well without heat but you will get a better result with less effort if you add heat

Anyone using an encap product better make sure it is boiling hot or it will not work properly.  ;D

We are talking about cleaning a carpet not altering its appearance,

I guess by adding the  ;D icon you thought you were being rather clever by using humour to make the point that Encap does not use heat, but what encap does use is   chemistry and agitation to achieve the limited clean that it gives

I clean a hotel carpet on a regular basis. around the buffet area is always soiled with dried in potatoes from chips i imagine. the one time i didn't have my inline attached i noticed right away the difference.

Mike, I did not realise there was a ban on having a sense of humour to make a point, especially as it is a very valid point  :P

i am sure encap would create heat through agitation
