can hypo damage paving slabs?
« on: May 04, 2013, 10:29:18 am »
hi

can hypo damage slabs in anyway? i done a job on some riven slabs (the better quality concrete ones that look like yorkstone paving with the fettled edges) and after cleaning with some hypo there was a very fine pitting on the surface and some of the aggregate was slightly showing from underneath, not a lot but visible. but because of the condition of the slabs before cleaning it was hard to tell if that was already there or if the hypo done it.

anyone got any opinions

The hypo wouldnt have damaged them

Did you use a turbo nozzle? Sometimes you can damage a surface with a turbo to close, or if they werealready a bit worn to start with.

hi matt

no this was before i cleaned them, they had a lot of black spot and i used a fairly strong hypo mix. that's ok then they were probably couldn't see it under all the muck.

cheers

What was your dwell time for hypo on the patio. Not that it would matter as it won't physically danagfe the substrate
