What a wimp! In my day we had to open the bottom sash of the first window, climb out and clean the top sash then close the bottom one and clean that, then move on to the next window. None of this opening them all first. How did he clean the bottom sash anyway?

that was common practice when i started, we used to close the bottom window to clean whilst stood on the ledge this was possible by getting a hand grip on to the groove where window would pull down,

If he was'nt doing it somebody else would be, the owners/people employing him are the ones who should be banged to rights.
