what oil is best for your machine pump and engine> and how often do you change it.

honda 13hp with interpump.

look in your booklet you got with the machine.or ring up slater tech.

I use 10/40 in the engine and silkoline light gear oil in the pump - 6 years with no problems yet. I do all the services during the winter, I also change the unloader and the valves

Thought would bring this back up to Starting fresh.
Bdcs,is the light gear oil you use in the pump ok to also be used in the reduction gearbox?

Yes the pump is little more than a simple gear case as its antifoaming that counts. Interpump do a pump oil if you need to be anal.
