Description About the Opportunity:
The awarding authority are pleased to offer the market an opportunity to express
interest in an office cleaning package to be undertaken to a small site office
on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The project site is part of the Olympic Park, and constitutes part of the
conversion of the park into what will be forthwith known as the 'Queen Elizabeth
Olympic Park'. This is a prestigious project that forms part of the London 2012
Olympics Legacy
works, and the park is expected to become one of London's top ten tourist
attractions; the specification is therefore high. The finished product and

The works include the cleaning of the office, toilets, and canteen blocks within
the Skanska compound on site. the works will be required daily (Monday to
Friday) and should be based upon 4 hours a day.

and will also be expected to swipe in and out of site as and when they arrive
and leave the area in order to substantiate the hours worked.
Please note that the works will be undertaken on a Skanska Labour Only
Subcontract and you will be required to take into consideration all tender
documentation when formulating your price.
The awarding authority look forward to receiving your completed interest
questionnaires.
About the buyer's selection process:
Skanska operate a sub-contractor approval process which must be undergone prior
to a sub-contractor being allowed to undertake works alongside Skanska. This
process requires the sub-contractor to undertake a simple questionnaire which
relates to headings
including; Professional Conduct, Financial Information, Insurance Bonds and
Warranties, Capabilities, Health & Safety, Environmental Policies, Industrial
Relations, Equal Opportunities, and Supply Chain Management. The completed
questionnaire is then
assessed by our in-house staff before being declared compliant, upon which the
sub-contractor is then included upon the Skanska sub-contractor database.
In addition Skanska will be expected to complete and submit a Tender
Recommendation Report for these works, which outline several aspects of the
chosen subcontractors competence. Most of this information will already be
supplied by the sub-contractor
before inclusion on the above database. Please bear in mind that you will be
required to provide any omitted information for inclusion on the report should
you be chosen to progress through to the final shortlist.

a number of projects constructing the initial stage of the Olympic in readiness
for Games (including
the works area for this project) and the maintenance of the area during the
Games period.
