complaint (wfp)
« on: March 20, 2013, 07:58:31 pm »
OK the last time i had a complaint was about a year ago where a bit of water got into air vent and ran down window after i left, ever since ive been really careful to avoid them and i dont clean above them after first clean with water flow turned on, anyway have this new customer who has leaded windows with wooden frames (varnished) and are in really good nick. Landed to do 3rd clean yesterday and she came out and said could you give the upstairs windows out the back an extra rub because was a few smears on the outside that i missed last time which i know i haven't (water must of got contaminated somehow) I done frames on first clean first and then went back round and done glass after frames dryed and give a good rinse plus there is no vents on this house. Done 3rd clean anyway and told her husband that it could be dirt in behind lead and could take a few cleans to clear it all out and give me a ring if need me to come back, no call yet so so far so good.
Now went round to my Mothers house this eve to pick up my daughter and was a few stains on outside of windows which i cleaned on Tuesday, and has rained a few times since then but dont think its been heavy enough to mark them, her windows are pvc with no vents and have cleaned them about 6 times.
I just dont understand where dirty marks are coming out of because i give really good scrub and rince and stay away from vents with water flow on, water is 002 so thats not problem ??? Any suggestions?

Have you got a good flow of water going over? Might be that or some places take a few more cleans to get rid of the build up of dirt?

ON which floor were the stains ? These factors are important. Remember we float the dirt of some many just do put enough water on the glass.

I cleaned mine a few days ago and they were perfect, now they look as if they havnt been cleaned in
months. Its the sleet mixed in the rain.
Clean your mothers again and let them dry, check them before heading out.

Good idea John, the woman with leaded windows never said how long she left it to check them after i had gone, could of been 2 weeks for all i know. Was heavy enough shower today, could of been a factor in my mothers. I have yet to meet a window cleaner local to me that has higher prices than me so hate to think that my work is less than perfect, i try to sell the fact that i might be bit more expensive but clean windows, frames, sills and doors where others local to me clean at low prices just to be competitive and end up doing just a window clean and not frames and doors and have to rush to make any money.

IMO you need to go back to cleaning above the glass with water on (top of frame) each visit

i think you are disturbing built up dirt which then runs down later or after rain dislodges it further
