Water Quality West Yorkshire
« on: March 13, 2013, 07:50:05 am »
Hi
Any WFP'ers in West Yorks noticed the TDS out of the tap has skyrocketed recently?
When I first started in May it was about 85 -  think it might be 'cos of all the floods we had but about 2 months ago it was up to 150 now about 135 and falling but very slowly.
Yorkshire Water do not measure TDS so they are unable to explain or say whether it will fall to 85 again.
I use DI only but thinking may have to go with the hassle of RO if it doesn't fall soon??? ???

I've noticed mine fluctuate a little bit (South Yorkshire) but not as much as that and it always comes back to about 100.
What's yours ds?

That's weird I've got a mate in Womb well with similar readings to you, I'd have thought we'd all share the same water source

Think this may be a factor!!!

Last week in Kirklees there were 239 sets of roadworks underway at any one time.

Twenty-six of them were for the local council but 213 for utilities such as water, gas, electricity and telecoms.

Takes forever to get anywhere - doing my head in - spend more time waiting at lights than cleaning windows !!!!!!!!!!

mines normally 30-40 tds out of my tap but a few years ago it went up to 105!luckily it went down again after a couple of weeks!they must draw water from another reservoir from time to time when water gets low.
price higher/work harder!
