Can anyone please recommend what heater to get to put in back of the van as went out this morning started first house and the water just frooze all on windows first time this as happened
thanks
If the water flowed out of your brush head, then the water hasn't frozen in the van. Sticking a heater in the back isn't going to solve that problem.
I think you will find that the house you cleaned is freezing inside and your water froze on their windows. I've had it twice. The first time was a conservatory that had no heating and the other was a house that's boiler had broken.
Although I used a lot more water on the house to wash and rinse, which quickly froze up again, when windows defrosted after the boiler was repaired they were fine as was the conservatory. If you are new to wfp something like this can become a source of panic. It will always look worse than it is.
If its too cold I bypass houses with conservatories and return when the weather warms up a little. All of my work is very close to home.
Some have put an electric element into their tanks to warm the water up a bit which will speed the process of cleaning on very cold windows, but the chances are that it will freeze soon after anyway. There are others who have installed gas and diesel on demand water heaters to heat the water as they use it, but freezing cold windows can crack.
Nearly all homes are centrally heated these days, although with the price of gas we may see more fozen windows in the future.
