Which Gutter Vac?

Thinking about investing in one of these as 8 months off the ladder now and I think I've lost my ladder mojo!

Been looking at the Gutter Sucker poles and a nilfisk 1800w wet and dry Hoover.

Any other preferences or advice out there please chaps?

Hi.

1800w. No good. You  will need 3000 to tackle full/clogged gutters. Min 2000 even then you'd struggle.

I have a 3000 and works good even at 4th floor.

Its not just about motor power , the 1800 nilfisk has much suction power as some of the 2400 watt vacs and is ideal for domestics .
I have alloy poles and they are a pain , too heavy and tend to get stuck together .

Robert- I machine mine off with a drill and a polishing bit, prior to use I use a little bit of gt 85 on the joints, they now come apart well easy.

I used the nilfisk 1800w and the gutter sucker poles and 5 metre 50mm hose without any issues..

have a karcher vac 3 x 1400 watt motors for some reason 3rd motor packed up.
so just use the 2 which is okay most of the time.

however mine runs of electric and seriously thinkingt that i need a genny set up - as get real peeved when lose suction cause some sludgy blockage in pipework. its tedius getting it unstuck on custys site and not ideal.

sure a genny set up would have more consistent suction.

the upkeeper gutter keeper looks interesting tho.

It's a common problem regardless of suction power, but easily solved. Always take a 5 gallon tub of wtaer with you and a bucket. as soon as the poles and  hos starts to get heavy, suck about 1/4 bucket of water through the system. it clears it immediately. You might have to do it every 20 minutes on reallysludgy gutters, but it only takes a few minutes to do.
