john guest fittings
« on: February 19, 2013, 02:21:57 pm »
Hi All. Who was it on here a few weeks ago that was raving about the fitting of John Guest fittings in his van? He replaced all the usual hozelock type fittings from tank to pump, pump to reel etc with the push fit John Guest fittings and never has a leak now.
In freezing weather, he just unclips the pump and takes it inside.
The kind of morning I had, I want to follow suit and wondered who it was so I could speak with him.

Cheers

Do they work well for you too? I can't tell you how bored I am of the leaks, heating the van if it might freeze and then being caught out like today when it freezes without warning and the heater wasn't in/on. Want the push fit fittings and then just bring the pump indoors in winter.

I did my van last week with them no leaks at all and a quick disconnect and everything is out, I put a picture up on the other john guest thread the other day

yer a lot faster,  just push pipe into fitting and thats it, job done. when it pressures up it seals itself
