I would not consider encapping on domestic carpets either. At the moment I am only using encapping on maitenance programes where I encap 3 times a year with an anual deep extraction once a year.
On the heavily soiled carpet that we have started of encapping we have always ended up setting up the truckmount as we have not been satisfied with the results. I have been trying this for years and found it the best way. I will go over after with a bonnet and encap as it does improve the appearance and stop the stains from wicking back. Overall I have fouund this give the best result.
I have used the texatherm system a lot and have done some cleans that I have been reasonably happy with but you still will get areas that are not satisfied with so end up setting up the truckmount anyway.

And thats why for the comments above, not one system will cover everything all the time.
A truck is a must for best hwe jobs, and a porty and a bonnet system are also required when the job and price dictates.  ;)

I used it in a travel agents in sunderland last year, the results were ok but were not fantastic, it had ac lovely fresh smell but its quite expensive! iv'e used similar products that are as good but more economical
