hi all
anyone do this? im certainly going to but when searching around gets confusing about best option. ie petrol/diesel or electric?

whirlaway is the surest clean tho im guessing involves a lot of sweeping waste water away. can this run off a 600quid pressure washer petrol/diesel?

also if electric with heater with a telescopic lance could this be ideal for commercial facade cleaning? if so can an electric one generate enough psi for a whirlaway?

any help be helpful as most suppliers keen to point out benefits of thiers but not necessarily best option for me.

petrol or diesel but diesel is better,the more you pay the better machine you get,never go electric,
Whirlaways are good but easier with a turbo nozzle,the whirlaway makes less mess so is good for going over first and then blast off after for less mess.
 I used to clean drives and to be honest hated it!

13hp petrol - minimum 17 litres per minute & 3000psi. these machines are heavy, so getting one with enough hose so you never have to move it is a good idea. I've 50mtrs hose with mine & it usually stays in the van!

Forget the whirlaway, a turbo nozzle is nearly always faster.

Forget the long lance - get an x-jet instead & softwash the gutters.


I do a good bit of pressure washing & soft-washing - I enjoy it & find it more profitable than windows.

We do a lot of this. 16 litres a minute on a petrol washer is ample. We do use the whirl away for the first clean and the turbo nozzle for the second. Contact smartseal, ask for Nigel. Tell him steve from telford recommended them. They will sort you out with all the info you need. Go to one of their training days. Best 75 quid you will spend on your business.
