Combo 1.3cdti 2000 owners
« on: January 31, 2013, 09:27:56 pm »
Does anyone have one of these models and use it for wfp?
I've seen one at the right price and mileage, but concerned about the 1.3 engine and how it would cope with a 300ltr system and all the toys on board?

Thanks in advance,

Rich ;)

I have the same engine in mine but the smaller payload and it goes really well
Very economical too
Thanks,

Yes a 210 litre and I carry a few barrels also
Suits me fine
You can fit a bigger tank but I had to have a 1 off frame made for me by pure freedom so that it could be undone and slides out the side door because I need the whole back of van empty sometimes
Thanks,

Cheers for the replies guys, very helpful ;).

Going to have a look tomorrow, so fingers crossed.
Funnily enough I've just spent the day driving around in a collegues 1.7 combo, it was an ideal size for a 1 man operation.

I suppose if I have any more concerns about the power, I have enough barrels to fill up and put in the back to test it out properly (I'm sure the dealers gonna love me! ;D).
