visa is taken a diffrent way from swiping the card, its pretty pointless really

Quickest solution if near an orange shop. Buy the reader for £20 which also gives you £20 worth of credit towards your transactions so effectively the reader is free.

With Visa you cannot insert the Visa card itself. You have first enter the amount, then to enter the customers mobile phone number. It then sends an immediate text with a link to the customers phone. They have to have a smart phone that can connect online. They open the link and confirm the payee and amount. You can see the client is entering their details on your phone then it will go through or decline as per a usual card transaction.

This sounds long but is infact very fast. The only problem is the fact clients don't want the faff of the text system.

How much is the chip & pin reader itself and is the transaction charge 2.75% for all card types?

I duno, but this is the only way to take card payments through a mobile phone without the need for visa to use that txt messaging thing.. its because its not chip and pin on izettle so they wont entertain it.. this uses a chip and pin machine which is slightly different than usual ones it connects to ur phone.

When do I get my money?
It depends on whether you are using the iZettle card reader or not to complete your transactions, and which card you are using.

If a transaction is made with the card reader, we deposit a maximum of £1,000 four banking days after the transaction was made. The money will then be available in your account within three banking days. This means that you should have the money within seven banking days.

If a transaction is made without the card reader (via manual entry) we will deposit a maximum of £25 four banking days after the transaction. The remainder will be deposited approximately 15 days later.

For Visa transactions, we will deposit a maximum of £150 for private accounts four banking days after the transaction. For business accounts £500 will be deposited four banking days after the transaction. The money will then be available in your account within three banking days. The remainder will be deposited approximately 15 days later.

In essence for business account users unless your transaction was £500+ you will recieve funds in 4 days, available to spend in 7 days.
