Cheap pump
« on: December 26, 2012, 10:35:52 am »
What is a good cheap pump. I have a shurflo but want to build a spare trolley and dont want to spend the same cost as the shurflo. On this site we have now managed to bring the price right down to under £10 for a diy controller so whats the best pump for aroun£30-35??

To clear it up, only part of the controller is under £10. To make it work you need to buy switch, connections, waterproof box so your, looking around £15-£20 for it

As for the pump, in the trolley pump box I built I used is this one :-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Propump-12volt-FL2203-diaphragm-pump-suit-single-speed-backpacks-75psi-2-6lpm-/130697130737?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item1e6e27f2f1

For under £30

Ok Ta, I know you need box etc for controller I was thinking that you could use a light/socket box as these come in a few sizes. Also you need conectors but what do you mean by a switch? The control on it switches on and off I assume so dont know about another switch

Socket box can be used as long as its a waterproof one.
They have a dial on, but you need to put a switch on live in side of it other wise it could overheat and burn out.
