Accidental discoveries
« on: December 18, 2012, 08:26:34 pm »
Don’t you just love the serendipitous nature of your profession?

How many times, over how many years, have you routinely performed a procedure on your round only to inadvertently stumble upon something that was so beneficial that it made the execution of that particular job just so much easier.

I have many examples.

Today, for example, while cleaning windows through a balcony with my pole between the railings, I bent down to retrieve the hose flow tap and discovered, from the angle created by my posture, that the brush can reach the entire 6x12 door and window from one central position. Before that discovery I was taking four different pitches.

And let us not forget, voyeurism is an occupational hazard that we simply must endure.
