GAS HEATER FLOW RATES....

Hi I was wondering if anyone has found a gas heater that works on a low flow rate?

I only have a 300L tank and using the L5 it does cain through the water alot quicker than I would like, and will only fire up with a fairly high flow of water through it (this is just how they are)

So what Im after is a gas heater that works on a low flow rate and prefferably available in the u.k. via ebay or whatever?

I will prob get a bigger tank in the spring anyway any suggestions much appreciated.

i dont know about ltr per min but i have a fogwash heater and it will fire up on varistream no1 . i personally use no4

it looks very simular.  i know peter fogwill who i brought it from did test these units out to find out how little flow would fire the boiler up. i cant speak for any other units. I dont think he supplys them now.

Hi Cleancare

There was a thread about 2 years ago with Peter Fogwill. He actually tested his heater when asked to advise lowest flow rate that it would consistently ignite and run at.

I searched for ages looking for it with no result. The thread was about how he couldn't understand why a low flow rate was important to some. I'm sure the flowrate figure was less than 1lpm - if I remember it was 0.75lpm, but I can't be sure.

Unfortunately it is no longer relevant as the particular heater is no longer available.
