I woudn't bother, use the 500 quid on marketing and spend the proceeds on a new machine. Marketing is whats king in this industry not how big or powerfull your equipment is.
Some of my customers with the biggest turnovers have never used an extraction machine.
Hope this doesn't come across the wrong way but I believe its sound advice.

hi john, i am pretty new to the cc game, its not that i yearn for a huge powerful machine but everybody goes on about a min 135-150 psi and 2x3 stage vacs and to be honest i,m constantly worrying about wickback, shrinkage etc and i think i,m wasting a lot of time doing too many dry strokes, i do have a rotary and a crb machine so i would like to look into utilising them as much as i can...thanks

I have customers still using Commanches.

They are fine for getting established and still have more grunt than some of the machines other customers use.

With prespray, good dwell and agitation it will rinse nicely without over wetting.

2-3 dry passes for every wet pass.

You could modify your wand jets to put out less if you feel it is leaving the carpet too wet.

thanks for the advise csuk (really apprieciate it), its set my mind at rest to know other pros are using the commanche, maybe i,m expecting too much in terms of leaving the carpets dry, you hear so many differing opinions on here regarding what spec is acceptable, to be honest i havn,t had any complaints i just think i may be a bit paranoid. thanks again
