Tell them you want it for carpet cleaning and it comes ready to use, otherwise they cut off the lance for window cleaners attachments.

Yes mention it on the phone that it's for carpet cleaning.
Also ask them how they are for spares?
I asked the girl if they always had spares of jets etc and
she said yes I'll send you a couple.
She sent me 2 of everything including a spare lance, at no
extra charge bless her.

The lance they send you for carpet cleaning is very fragile and doesn't last long, the lance breaks very easily, best to change it.
WCW are a great firm, don't arse around if you have a problem.

Get a short power washer lance and adapt it like John Kelly has for IK9.

Have you done the adaption.
Had a look at this and it needs to be done
at the pump I think.
The hose provided won't fit directly onto the
lance coupling.

Can you not just cut the hose and push it onto the connector?

Sorry I dont have one here. Was just thinking out loud.

Going to strip it down at some point.
The battery gauge as part steamed up so
I suspect water is entering the pump and
electric housing at the base.
