I went out did £130 quids worth until the wind started to blow the pole out my hands lol. Then thought it would be a far better idea to go spend said £130 on 24yo single malt, 15Yo El Dorado rum, 39yo year old brandy and a rather nice bottle of 30yo tawny port god i love Aldi at xmas. The good thing was i did have a pound change to take home to the ungrateful witch that is my wife. ;D

Axminster has a spectacular Marina - not bad seeing as it's about five miles form the Sea.
you live in Axminster?

About 5 miles away but drove around the Marina last night and the trail of drowned cars

Went out, tried to do one house but couldn't hold the pole as the wind was too strong.

The customer was trying to be helpfull when she suggested I use my ladders instead.  ;D

I've got a magnetic anemometer I stick on the roof of the van. Highest wind gust was 47mph with an ave speed of 26mph.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

ive not even bothered at all this week guys and im usually out in most weather!i have been pre occupied a bit as ive started playing drums again mixing real drums and cymbals with electronic drums!i now have i seriously good kit for gigging and rehearsing!

got a gig this sat and only played one gig with them but im ready for it!! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

ill be working tomoro though and catching up with some overdue money thats owed from weeks ago!!

downtime can be good for me as it allows me to take a breather from window cleaning and reflect on my business, make plans, chill out and pursue other interests!

its no big deal.if you plan ahead and just accept that we sometimes get downtime due to weather, illness etc its easier to bear when it comes around!

of course making sure you have an emergency fund built up throughout the year helps too!ive learnt a few things along the way as ive been in this game a fair few years now!! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

yes worked yesterday till 2.30pm,the last 3 houses where on top the mendip hills ,customers were glad to see me as it hard enough getting a windy but that far out it even harder, they even thanked me for making the effort.
the wind up there was horriable but we got them done, and all paid.
