As from last winter used arco 1494400 marigold insulator glove @ £6+ ish - ok 4 wfp, v flexible BUT they are not water proof on the back of hand, but ok on the front palm 4 flicking the wet dirt off the brush head. Good 4 price but we did have a mild winter last year in the south, so dont know if they will be upto very cold days. However got a pair of glacier gloves ( £25 ish) a few months ago incase, but ive yet to try them out? They do seem a bit bulky in lrg though, which is my size on all gloves?

The best I have tried over the past few years (and I have tried loads!!) are the blue fleece lined Showa 490. rubber on the outside, big and clumsy but warm and dry. Also easy to pull off when you need to write. Cheap as well, about £8 last year.

4 pairs of showa 377's blue & black - £4.25 a pair and waterproof. Starting to feel the cold more a little this time of year but im happy so long as they keep my hands dry.

Suppose i could always buy bigger sizes and have a cotton glove inside for warmth.

I've tried all sorts over the years, just bought Head Ski gloves
W/proof, breathable & roastie.

Little bulky, but still breaking them in. Only concearn is how they will stand-up to reeling in hose & general working.

I have Youngstown, and they are pretty good, but after an hour or so, they are damp inside.

I've used the Unger ORIGINAL Neoprene Gloves which look a bit different to the ones your on about. But they do not last (although they are good for a few weeks) the rubber outer layer begins to split in no time and they leak when that happens and whiff dreadful. I like them because you could turn over the tops to prevent water running down your arm (can you do that with the showa ones?) They simply are not up to the wear and tear, so not worth it at that price.
