tyring to speed up the fascias/guttering jobs i get.

ive got a petrol jetwash gx340 with interpump etc  and wondered how many people are using this method over water fed pole and how much quicker is it?

i would need a telescopic lance also , any suggestions on this, where and why.

we jet wash gutters, fascias etc, it is mayb 3 times faster the a pole only on really stubborn cleans they will get a quick brush over with a brush as well.

deff quickier and better as you can get in all the places you cant with a brush

depends on what type of gutter they are and the condition, so sometimes full power, some times half power. and a decent jet wash chemicals as well

A mate of mine moved house and was desperate to get the gutters, fascias and soffits done on his new place
I told him I could come round the following week but it wasn't soon enough for him
He saw a bloke cleaning them with pressure washer and stopped and asked him to do his, to cut a long story short water got in all the way along gutter and flooded half the loft, two ceilings had to be pulled down and re-boarded and skimmed and a couple of carpets were ruined

Has this happened to anyone else, was my mate just unlucky or did the guy that cleaned them do something he shouldn't have ie lance at wrong angle

I have heard of it happening...

And that's the reason I use wfp pressure washers  are  too powerfull for this type of job.

Any tool in the wrong hand is a bad thing it's how you clean not what you clean with

A neighbour two doors down just got theirs cleaned by a pressure washer.
The mist coming from it dirtied all my windows.
So at least  two houses on each side would have got this.
Could end up with a lot of complaints.
But its a lot quicker and handier than wfp.

you will find this a nightmare, using this pressure washer is like fighting a wild snake in the air, this can also blow gaskits of the gutters and old vents, I know this because I have this very same pressure washer.

I stopped using this very quickly after I bought the poles for it, and stick to using it as a surface pressure washer, and use wfp for this job.

Most 'new' fascias/gutters have soffit vents fitted and you will get the attic soaked as previously mentioned, not a good move imho, stick to wfp or ladder

I have always used a pressure washer at 150 bar and never had  problem at all. I would not buy a extended  lance as they are heavy.I used to fasten a lance to a Harris pole and I found it worked well. The pressure lances hoses are to heavy for the the long extension poles that one buys. You can get the hose loose with all the fittings and use an old pole. There is so much scare mongering on this forum. The same as cleaning a conny with a power washer till someone can  and did just that with out a problem. H S over kill does prevent one trying. Common sense and care will always prevail.
