coming from manchester i'd say £120 is a complete rip off.  even more so in scotland.  i think 80 quid would be a fair price for you and the customer.  location makes a massive difference to the price.  i'd bet the price of a house in falkirk is damn cheaper than a house in brighton.  always think its a bit unreliable asking for prices unless they're in the same area as you

I come from Manchester and do this type of property for £140, loads of work.

To the OP...

Agree with much on what's been said here, particularly about pricing for different regions as you will get differing prices depending on where you are based.

You need to have a feel for how long the job will take you and then multiply that by your hourly rate and that's your price.  Try not to drop down if the custie tries to chip you on price as you will then be earning under your hourly rate and why would you want to do that?

Personally I find this type of work harder than cleaning windows, therefore I have one hourly rate for windows and a higher hourly rate for gutters etc.  If you can earn more doing maintenance window cleaning then it's not worth doing the gutters etc unless you are getting paid more for your time.

As someone has said you have spent money on your gear and therefore have the tools for the job so don't undersell yourself.

Hope this helps.

I use a power washer after vacing the inside muck out. I never use a pole on gutters.

that job would take no more than an hour to clean soffits, fascias and  outside gutters so £50 or £60.

seriously guys why does it take you so long?

ive done a fair few over the last few years and they dont take long even if their dirty.

Agreed. I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong. The customer always seems pleased. That job wouldn't take me no more than an hour. Plus 1/2 hour for first clean windows. I'd probably price at around £70-£80 inc windows on a first clean. For a regular customer it would be £60 for an hour's work.
