Hi guys, its taking 2 of us 6 weeks to get around our monthly work physically cant to any more. Currently run van 2man system and unsure weather to put another van/man out. For those who do have 2 or more vans out is it really worth the hassle. Cheers.

100% it is worth it, you will cut the round down to 4 weeks easy if thats your regular round time, if not you will have more time on your hands for marketing

If your fully maxed out with a 2man van then yes you are mad not to. Think how good it will be if you doubled your workloads again. Ching ching springs to mind.

You could also considder buying a 125lt trolly system(I run 2 Plus static) drop this off along with worker plus a good number of barrells and tht's them good for the best part of the day.

If your running 3 men from 1 van you need to be looking at the paylod on your van, I reckon you need to carrrying atleast 1300-1500lt per day if your work is busy and compact.

BTW, I've gone from 2/3 vans back down to 1 with a big playload, streamlined the work, it's more lucrative now than it's ever been...

It's a lot to think about bud but I'd be more inclined to sell off a bit of lower priced work and concentrate on the cream, only take on new customers at a premium price...

we have been right where you are ! we were a 2 man team, way too much work and always behind.

We employed a guy ( he was brilliant and a really nice chap too). We bought a second van and took it in turns to work as a 1 in the small van.

He was employed on a 150 hours every 4 week basis as an employee.

Everything was perfect apart from one thing...the weather !!!

The weather was getting worse and worse and we found that we were paying him at times to sit at home. Although we were paying him 150 hours a month he was only working around 130 hours a month. So we were paying him £200 a month to sit at home. Not good. So we had to let him go.

We are not a massive company and have to look after ourselves first.

we have now decided that we are gonna work around 10 days a month individually wfp out of 2 vans and then work as a 2 for 4 or 5 days a month.

Thanks for your replys. Its a tough one to call. I know we cant carry on as we are as its just not physically possible to do the workload along the regular new stuff u get more or less daily.
