ecover trads topic
« on: September 27, 2012, 10:17:47 pm »
Saw alot of mentions about using ecover in your bucket, I washed my own windows using it and have to say it's better than fairy that I have been using, I'm now wondering if squeegee off is better to work with than ecover, I will be using ecover this weekend have 40 houses to do so I hope this helps  speed me up a bit

right just my opinion like, but you could use fairy p and a mucky puddle to soap a window up, if you can squeegie it makes no odds,

but as it happens I use ecover and I have tried GG3 and the rest, but if I ran out I would have no problems using fairy

I use ecover and in generall it's good stuff but one thing it won't shift is BBQ grease.
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

Hi Stuart, I found that ecover was less soapy than fairy mate,I do think I need to hone my squeegee skills though it's coming once I'm full time hopefully it will vastly improve, mind you touch wood not one complaint yet

Having tried the whole lot when I was 100% trad I found GG3 or 4 to give the best result followed by Squeegee Off.

Good old fairy looks like it does a good job when you look straight on to the glass. Look sideways through the glass from the insides towards the sun and all you will see is smears. Fairy contains silicone. At least Ecover is just detergent with no chemicals and no silicone.

Being mainly wfp now, when I do a job for the first time I can always tell if the previous window cleaner used fairy because you get loads of tiny bubbles.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

charge down the amount: charge down the amount is not a measure of down quality indicators, it is the weight of a down jacket filled duvet. Moncler Jackets Moncler UK

I'll give ecover a good go tomorrow out for 8-9 hours, from the replies I think it comes down to personal preference. cheers for all the replies.

By the way this weekend window cleaning is murder after a 40 hr week, I cannot wait till 21st dec to pack the factory job in  :)
