Could anyone recommend a GPS tracker for leafleters?  The one I got from Maplins previuosly seems to be discontinued http://www.maplin.co.uk/bluetoothandreg-gps-travel-tracker-351568

thanks Hydro.

the previous GPS tracker was £19.99!  That's why I;m not too keen on jumping up to £59.99.

hey bradley,

just starting down the same route as you with my own leafleters.

rendevouz didnt get me the results i wanted, and they didnt deliver to all the areas i wanted them to either.  i have family who live in the area they were meant to cover and both were missed out.  howeer i did get about 8 calls from the drop of 15000 (i think?) so leaflets did go out.

if youve got the time i reckon it is best to get your own leafleters and track them.

hows yours going?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GlobalSat-DG-200-USB-GPS-Receiver-Logger-/360484221701?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item53ee88b305 this looks ok if you can wait for it to arrive. I used to import and sell GPS receiver and Globalsat are a decent brand.

Your own leafletters is the way to go. I had 3000 put out by a company and it was a total ball ache. They didn't do some areas, they didn't tell me where they did do (i drive round to see them in the windows), I had two leaflets through my door as did all my neighbours. The last time they took 2k, binned them all and came back for payment. I was only after I realised they hadn't delivered any.

After that i employed my own, had another 28k put out and while it was a pain to organise I pulled in nearly 350 new customers in 4 months. I wasn't tracking them either but will from now on.

i've tried it all now, and finally going back to employing my own.  the tracker just gives me peace of mind.  i told the applicants right away they would have a tracker and would need to submit the tracker at the end of month to get paid.  i figure anyone who wants to just dump them wont bother applying after they know that

Do you employ them on set hours?I left it faily open and flexible for them, at one point I had 4 doing about 10 hours each a week but would rather less doing more hours.

Are they invoicing you as self employed or on your payroll, or maybe cash in hand?

What sort of rate do you have with them for 100 houses can I ask? I was paying by the hour but suspect they weren't flogging themselves. Do they deliver your leaflet on its own or with others?
