Hi Guys,

Doing okay at moment, got off to a decent start for sure, its been a great help using some of the tips discussed on this site.

Just wanted to ask what you guys do with regards to small windows (too small for my 14" squeegee) do you use a small, say 6" squeegee just for those small tricky windows ? (traditional)

Also, i have been out canvassing and asking family and friends over the weekend and have generated nine new customers, with two others to call round and quote later in the week - wont always be that good i know but i'm not complaining for now.
My question for one of the houses is this - its a detached house - decent area with no real difficult windows - 14 windows of varying sizes and agreed to wipe down the two upvc doors. I quoted £16.00 does that sound reasonable? as the customer seemed happy with it, i felt like i could have got more, but not greedy. I'm hoping to go to wfp within 6 to 12 months so wary of under pricing then suddenly increasing prices when i go wfp - any clues guys, i know it differs in each area, im in norfolk.

Hi Steve.  I use a cut down Wagtail (6") for narrow windows, and a 14" Wagtail for everything else, and internals.
It would be hard to quote without seeing the property but a rough guide would be
Bay £3
Medium windows £2
Door £1.50 
Like you said Location can also be a factor in arriving at a reasonable quote.

You will find a 6" squeegee useful. Not only for small, narrow windows but also as a detailing squeegee and you can blade off sills with it.

dont be tempted to up the price too high cos after a couple of months likely will cancel once theyv had time to think it over properly . You will likely soon find out what the local big boy charges which will give you a guide price .  
 never give your normal price on 1 off jobs thinking they might become a regular cos they never do !  these days i price 1 offs at four times  the normal just to get rid . a 1 off can cost you dearly in sapping your energy,for days afterwards sometimes

as others above i use a 6 inch wagtail on small windows
