« on: September 17, 2012, 09:38:18 pm »

Can i just swap this straight for my merlin?  I'm on a
water metre and the waste is a joke, I'm told the waste is
Approx 60%, do I need and pre-filters or any thing else?

Yeah sediment and carbon. The carbon removes chlorine that damages the membrane.

Colin, how much does it cost to fill up 1000L of water on a water meter? Do you have a separate meter to work out how much water you are using for your window cleaning business? Do you claim it back off your household bill?

Lee I don't no, no and no  ::)

I've havnt lived here long so the bills are old
Estimated but I no they are to low. My merlin wastes
4 to 1 made and I no that is gonna cost me a fortune. :'(

I'm told a the above ro only wastes 60% so a massive
Reduction and also works faster.
Is what I'm told about right mate ?

A ratio of waste : pure of 4:1 is huuuuge col.

I dunno about the saving in £ terms as I'm not metered but it will be a LOT.

Ian Wicks is a good man to take to with regards to RO's. I use merlin but my waters not metered. If I got a water meter I'd be getting a 4040 straight away.
