........to buy a gardiners extreme..I have been toying with the idea of buying the 18' extreme for a few months now,but every time I go on the site to buy,something stops me(think it's the price).Employees use the SLX25 and SLX22 so would still be able to clean higher than the 18' allows.
Do you have to fully extend sections before clamping or does the clamping work the same way as the SLX poles?

Its lighter, its more rigid, its easier, its faster - - - if you can afford to splash the cash then there isn't another pole to match it.

As Nat says really, it's a horrendous price, wears annoyingly fast but once you've bought one you'll never want anything else. Especially if you buy an extension pack. Superb.

my SLX 25ft pole is a dream to use now ive took the aqua-daptor off.i use a carbon gooseneck and extreme medium bristle brush and i can honestly say i cant imagine a pole lighter and more rigid than this!!

if an extreme wears fast then im out at that price!also isnt it harder to control at that weight on windy working days??

Daz, do you take care about your slx25? i clean mine every week, a deep clean, i remove each section and after a year, my slx is like new!

If you go for an extreme as an everyday pole get the 25ft. You can always take off the bottom section and run it as a 20 most of the time.

I have an extreme 47 with two extensions which I use as a 35 most of the time; an SLX35 which I run as a 20 and an SLX22 which I run as an 18.

Right am gonna take the plunge,just one thing tho,can you clamp on any part of all sections or does the section have to be fully extended before clamping?

You can only clamp top middle and base - (except on the bottom section of a 47 where you have top/two-thirds/one-third/base.)

I already have a SLX25 to get to higher work,I want the pole to be as light as possible,hence the 18' as am gettin a bit of bother with the tendon in ma upper arm.

Ah,that's what I thought,think on the 18' there is no middle clamping point,just wonderin how this would work if the pole was just a wee bit short when closed,I would then have to open section 1 fully when maybe 1 foot would do, mmmmmm?

hi ben NO ive never removed any of my slx sections in 18 months.i wipe the pole hose when putting it back in the van after my working day esp if its wet and i flush the pole with water about once a month but apart from that i couldnt be bothered removing sections every week!besides the joint stop tape is still intact on all sections!!
