hi paul normally you could charge an extra £2-£5 so maybe 25%-50% area dependant ,however, its not simply just because you can charge more that is one factor its mainly to keep the round stable as in less cancelations due to you not turning up so much and customers get ped off cos there windows have never been cleaner!.

customers on average like to see a little bit of dirt on their windows ;/

A good round takes years to build, you may go mad advertising, canvassing, leaflets etc, but you will find you have a lot of sifting through time wasters, bad payers, work others wouldnt do !

I think a lot of new starters give up soon after starting for the above reasons, you have to have a long term business plan, and realistic expectation of what can be achieved.



This is excellent advice. It must be steady away. I have found that the majority of recommendations we get turn out to be good customers. I have also found that the majority of canvassed/"I've been looking for a window cleaner" customers are messers.
Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration and 2% attention to detail!

The older I get, the better I was ;)
