What do i need to produce 350ltrs in 3-4 hrs
« on: September 05, 2012, 08:59:02 pm »
At the moment i live in a flat 7th floor and fill my drums up in the bathroom which was fine in the begining but now i need 250 to 350 ltrs a day and if i don't start doing the water early enough i have to stay up late then get up early to get the water done which is draining me.

I am trying to get a house at the moment but could be stuck in the flat for at least 5 more months i don't want to buy water as i like doing things myself.

Any ideas what i would need and what it would it cost me equipment wise to produce 350 ltrs in 3 to 4 hrs  ???

at the moment i have a booster pump and pure freedom 300 gpd system

Thanks Paul

Can't you fill from bathroom through window straight to van?? Or rent a garage. Can get them for £40-50 a month. I have my garage and also rent a neighbours for £40 a month Using her water from her outside tap, cheaper than a lockup and paying commercial water rates.
Or have your ro and Di in van and fill from an outdoor tap local to you, you may even have one on your block where you live.
A merlin will fill 350 litres in 4 hours as that is what I use to fill my 4x1000 litre tanks in garages. I'm looking at going 4040 route now though as my merlin has a ppm of 30-40 before resin and costing a fortune in resin.

Do you not have any relatives in the area?
Jeez, reading your post nearly made me weep...

7 floors up.....you've don a days work before you start!

Good luck in the search for a solution....

If your renting privately, suggest move out ASAP,
If your relying on local authority, yo may wait longe than 5 months....

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

Lol i dispise carrying barrels 2 at a time from my back garden to the van :) carrying them down 7 floors would kill me. How about a pulley system out the window? or is there a lift? haha

a water fed garage seems to be the way to go with that one

I have inlaws in the area but don't want to go down that route if you know what i mean.

The flat has a lift so its not too bad getting them to the van its just producing the water i might get a few more drums so when im chilling at the weekend i can stock pile 8-10 drums as a back up through the week.

If we have not moved within the next 5-8 months i will have no choice but to private rent some where or get a lock up / garage  :( :(

Thanks Paul

Keep it in mind? I would bite his hand off. The energy alone that you would save would far outway any cost that may be incurred.
Ring him now and go look at his set up with a slab of beer.
What do you want any of us to say.
