ask alex gardiner how to test resin in a glass of water, this is what you should do first, it will tell you if your resin is ok but cant remember exactly how to do it once you have eliminated this as a problem, look at the tds coming out of the ro, as long as that is ok then check the di.

sounds like crap resin to me, if you just bought it from purefreedom which i bet you did just like me, have noticed that the tulision that i got from them last week is crap mate, i will be going to adaqua in future, everyone recons they are good.

also for the same price or cheaper gardiners sell you 5kg in a cool sealable tub

Are you using an RO and how big is your di. You also need to read your TDS after your R O before the D I  . This will help to determine were your problem is.

Ok i usually test all of the stages in the system - and just did it again...

*New resin went in 300L ago.

Tap >  out at 300TDS
to RO unit/450GPD pumped 3 new membranes, 3 new filters >  Out at 15TDS

to resin 300L old > Out at 2-3 (fluctutes)

I know its got to be the resin but when i put it in yesterday it was coming out at 0 - would bad resin just go quickly or would it not work at all

I did see Alex Gardiner's post the other day about the glass thing - but i expect it would be fine as it does purify to 0 when new..

Maybe i need a bigger DI unit.. or a second one.. or better resin..or something

just did the glass thing, took it from 300 to 66... not good enough eh.
