20-30% sounds fair at first but mick is right building a round and dont forget running one can be a bloody pain cleaning it is the easy part,

i would say if you are doing totally doing nothing and i mean nothing then 20-30% fine

but some rounds need managing ,cancelations ,gates etc etc if you can setup mega days for your subbie and do all his admin ie customer stuff and pay him after work load is completted promtly (not wait for customers to pay first) and ensure your subbie gets paid outright no matter if a cust refusfes to pay then somewhere along the lines of what mick is saying also makes sence, that would be because you are still very muched involved anyway thats one way of taking a larger percentage as you will be hands on.

it also depends on the prices too end of the day whats a reasonable amount best to sit down ask them how much they wana earn and see if you guys can come to a deal! its gota be worth it for both

If you have a franshise off say Ian, you will give the fransisee 80% and you get 20%, but the fransisee has to do all the nessasary stuff involved with runnning a business.

Renting a round is different, the guy renting only has to clean, does he replace/repair his equipment does he do the accounts and tax returns etc

So in real terms a guy renting is not far removed from a employee and this should be looked at when paying commission on work cleaned

the guy renting would use his own tools and be responsible for those also ofc his own tax affairs he will need to invoice you for his services to the aggreed rate % cleaned say.

you "cant" supply mayjor tools like van and expenses then he would be an employee i know some people supply vans etc technicaly you cant do it as the chap will rely on your incame and tools and he should be employed, people do this keep em as self employed and are able to pay alot less in wages as they have supplied everything

typically a subbie will want to earn alot more as its his own van and bills etc.

also subbie will clean your work as and when it suites him he would normally have other work too ie his own or others he may be subbie from
