New shape Scudo is a good'un especially if you can get the 1200kg payload. The 1000 will just about scrape a 650 plus 2 average geezers but you'll be on the limit when full as in:

Tank, frame  and water 700kg plus
2 geezers 200kg inc packed lunch
poles reels and battery 50kg
Bits and bobs, spares and cack - 50kg

= 1000kg

I've got 650L in a Hyundai iload with a 1060kg payload - trouble is the two geezers are 220kg without packed lunch!  ;D
It's a game of three halves!

How much is that costing if you don't mind me asking? Are you buying new from VW? I wouldn't mind a 140ps, used is about £15,000+ on a 2010 plate

I've got a 2004 Citroen Relay SWB 2.0 Hdi. Got it 3 years ago with 34k on the clock. Its a great van. I'd get another anyday. Little bit more expensive on fuel than a Scudo, Dispatch or Expert but will handle the extra weight fine.

Personally, I don't rate the Vivaro, Trafic etc for window cleaning - a couple have them and they don't seem to be up to the task IMHO.

I went for 2009 1.6 hdi dispatch..... A little under powered
But does an adequate job 40mpg , few issues with radio heating
And horn but no major issues in first month.
