4040 ro question.
« on: June 26, 2012, 04:07:36 pm »
hi all .i recently moved the place where i keep the 4040 ro system.when i reconnect it i accidentally connected it to the other end where the water should come out pure .it went like this for a few hours until i realised the mistake i made.so i rectified the problem but i noticed the water came out more  and at 150-200 ppm.so i left it to flush for a few hours and the ppm stayed the same.so today i took out the membrane and put it back again but no luck.could you please let me know if anyone had the same and what i can do ?
i just hope i don't need a new membrane.thanks

Chlorine damages RO membranes (not to mention sediment and all other minerals/metals in the feed water)

You directly bypassed your pre-filters removing sediment and chlorine. Will need a new membrane I'm afraid.
