Hi Lulu,

Why not invoice her for actual man hours worked. Sell this to her as keeping her costs down invoice weekly, hope this helps

Cheers Mark.

dusty,
she wants the  4 propertys turned around in 4 hours, which i can do!!
but will have to take on staff for this.

i would of charged her £80 -£100 per home, but she has very high standards, it would take 4 hours per home and i estimate 2 cleaners per home

or

do i charge her £18 per hour?

what do you think?

Lulu

I think £18 per hour is too expensive for this and you weren't far off with you first thoughts of £80 to £100.

A couple of questions though - as far as I can tell from your original post you will be cleaning these every week, will that be 52 wks of the year or is she likely to say she doesn't want it done some weeks as it's not booked out (is it seasonal?).  Do you have to provide the clean linen?  Are you going to allocate 8hrs to each property?

Lynn,

£80 - £100 seems reasonable, personally I would charge her for the hours worked (cleaners pay, NIC,Holiday Costs etc) then add your bit on the top.

Lots of questions though about linen, sink soaps, towels cleaning products etc, I know you really want this one but don't cut your own throat and end up doing it for nothing, if its regular weekly work then make small profit weekly turns into regular income and you never know who she might refer you onto.

regards

Graham

Hi

We do a lot of holiday homes I think with linen washed and ironed £120 per home depends on how bad you want it

i'm back guys,
oh! my god. where do i start.

firstly the homes are crammed with furniture, oak every where.
the place needs a builders clean to start off with, then a spring clean every week to keep on top of it.

i've 2 weeks to turn it all around.

think iv'e managed the price ok, between 80-110 a week on each one. but did tell her the initial builders clean will sting her.

fingers crossed

lisa,
i made up a few flyers, and put them in the local village shop.
i guess i'm lucky where i stay, most of my work is very near, i'm in a well to do area (not me) just a basic house i have.
But, LOL  ::)
my daughter posted a few flyers through the mansion type of houses, a work came in that way. ;D
now around the village it's word of mouth.

target the small areas, with really nice houses. :)

you'll find if they have a high powered jobs,  and hopefully they would recommend you, at there places of work.

best of luck

i would say 2 1/2 hrs work at £60

i may be wrong, perhaps someone else has more or less of a price.
