first clean trad
« on: June 02, 2012, 07:51:47 pm »
I'm hating these first clean trads they just take way too long grrr
but the majority of my work is first cleans at the moment .

do you guys have set days for doing first cleans ? so you can take longer ?
All mine are glass and frames first cleans and must say they are a pain in the rear .

put a "first clean" price in mate.

Generally, we canvass an existing area, and clean them the next time we do the area.... so we get a full days canvassing in, without piddling around on cleaning them the same day

I would try and put a higher price in but to be honest i doubt i would get the job as majority are
Council houses and they are on a good monthly price on my side so after the initial clean they are a
Quick job my lowest paid job is 6quid and thats my sis in laws.
I done a new build in the week 4 bed detached glass and frames £15.00  took 40 mins .

council houses can be a bit of a bummer  :-X

hard to get a first clean price in (well it is where i live) so i know what you mean.

I have just put prices up on all 70ish houses on one of my council estates by £1.00   got 1 cancel.

trying to ge out of the town, into better priced work.

like you say, if your well priced, after the initial clean, then sometimes its better to just bite the bullet & get the first clean done at the same price..... we've all done it... i picked up a church £35 every 8 weeks, didnt do a first clean price, and ended up taking 2 hours (2men)

But now first clean is done, we pish through it in 30 mins (2men) so it was worth it.
