get targeted likes, the likes on here are unlikely to help your business

it will get you likes, but i would lay money they will not help you. I used to sell these likes to pages on facebook in separate niches. it is not good for your need sean

Why not good?

Does facebook now list your business in order like google based on amount of likes from good quality pages etc???

Last post for me before bed, forgot its my turn for the school run tomorrow :(

Dont bother with those bought likes mate as already advised, they are no good for you and wont make a cat in hells difference. Get your friends to like your page, and as soon as you get 25 likes, claim your vanity URL which makes your page easier to find, place on advertising, and other factors I dont need to go into.

To all those who hate facebook, thats where most people will talk about you if they do talk about you, so why not take control of the conversation and maintain your reputation? you would be surprised how facebook can help yoru word of mouth reputation which can convert into new customers.

Dont get me wrong, canvassing is the best way forward, but having a facebook business page is definatly a great bonus and you only need to spend a few minutes on it a day to maintain it. Oh and be social with your posts, not business like, make comments to provoke interaction. A huge mistake businesses make is trying to be business like on a social networking site, who wants that?

Good punctuation and grammar, makes the difference between helping your uncle Jack, off a horse & helping your uncle, jack off a horse. ;D

It purely depends on what social platform the user prefers, so best to use both just to be sure. I have my Facebook page set up to also tweet any posts I make, to cater for those who prefer Twitter to Facebook, which also means less posting :) But I always use Facebook as my primary social platform.

Another benefit of Facebook is you can do paid advertising to specific target markets of your choice, age, sex, location etc and its a lot cheaper than using Google PPC if you know what your doing.
