Direct drive pump or Gearbox drive pump

Hi all

I'm about to buy new pressure washer(13hp/15L) next week and was just wondering whats your opinion for those 2: direct drive pump & gearbox drive pump what is advantage/disadvantage

I mainly do domestic with few commercial a year

Direct drive is cheaper and lighter - gearbox is dearer, heavier but the pump runs at half speed and lasts longer. For the few quid get the gearbox

I've gone through 2 direct drive 13h machines in last 3 years.

But i hammer mine all day long day after day.

Gearbox is higher spec, higher still is belt drive.

All good depends how much you want to spend.

i was thinking about gearbox machine, its only about £200 more then other one
